The American Foundation for Bulgaria is proud to announce that submissions are now open for the 22nd Early Bird International Student Film Festival, taking place in Sofia from November 1–5, 2026.
Since its establishment, Early Bird has presented more than 1,800 student short films from around the world, creating a renowned forum for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work and connect with an international film community.
We encourage young filmmakers to become the next participants in this established international forum and share their films with Early Bird audiences and professionals.
The submission deadline is September 10, 2026.
